We had a good week last week going 3-1-0 which brings our season record to 49-39-0
THIS WEEK’S GAMES:
  • (1) RIP My Big Boy Red   -vs-   (7) DC Nukes

RIP My Big Boy Red have a career record of 2-1-1 against the DC Nukes
The DC Nukes won the 2008 game in week 5 by a score of 110-82
These teams have never met in the playoffs.Outlook:  The computer does present Scenarios where the NUKES can upset the RIPs, but that is only 17% of the computer simulations.

  • RIPs win 118-101

  • (3) Marty’s Schottenheimers   -vs-   (5) West Hartford Trees
The West Hartford Trees have a career record of 5-3 against the Schottenheimers.
Marty’s Schottenheimers won the 2008 game in week 8 by a score of 104-88
These teams met once in the playoffs during the 2007 season. The Trees knocked out the regular season champion in Round 1 of the playoffs last year by a score of 83-54.

Outlook: The Schottenheimers are looking for revenge of last year’s early playoff exit at the hands of the Trees but unfortunately, the Trees know when it is time to ramp up the competitive juices and knock teams down to size; during the playoffs!! The Trees are looking for a week 17 rematch against the Trees; only this time in the championship game, not the consolation game….

  • “Da Trees” win this week 118-102

That is all we have for you, be back next Thursday with another round of predictions!

Heard in the Locker Rooms…

October 24, 2008 · Leave a Comment

We had a little life out of the NERFLites  last week….

Starting with E & J shooting off his mouth to the Shottenheimers:

I AM GOING TO WHOOP YOUR A$$ LIKE I DID TO YOUR DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  BE READY SON.
Then came Sunday and to everyone’s surprise; E & J won. Go Figure. Not to let things fall by the wayside, the Fugawi Frogz sent out the word to the entire league:

Wow!

Looks like E & J made Pop’s and the Schottenheimers ”his biatches!!!”

Week 1: You Make The Call…

September 5, 2008 · Leave a Comment

This is the Kimmelitis section that allows the owners of NERFL to predict how every NERFL game of the week will turn out. Vying for a prize at the end of the season for having the best record in the “You Make The Call…” Contest, we are surprised that only four NERFL Owners weighed in. Better hope they have bad records because the prize won’t be based on winning percentage, it will be based on the most number of games called correctly during the season.

So, Let’s get started:

You make the call….
Team TBD -vs- The Fugawi Frogz
Fugawi Frogz  – I have to stand by the franchise and besides, it’s waterboy… we must be like 80 point favorites.

R.I.P. My Big Boy Red Forever  –  Fugawzi Frogs neuter the no-show wonderboy (team tbd)       98 to 42

Pop’s Puppies  –  the froggies

Team TBD  –  TBD will  be feasting on Frogz legs all weekend long.

Survivor Series: New England Conference

July 28, 2008 · 4 Comments

It is time to predict the 2008 NERFL winners in every category, starting at the Conference level. All three Conferences have been re-shuffled  based on the records of the 2007 season and the teams in the New England Conference proved to be the cream of the crop (if you believe this rag tag group could be the cream of anything). Anita’s Angels won it all over the AARP aging brain of “Tuna Light” who is running pop’s Puppies (You should see the “Tuna Light” on a dance floor, he can cut a rug, I tell ya…) and anchored (literally and figuratively) by the juggernaut Mors Hostibus who is the only team to start a season 0-5-1 and clinch a playoff spott at 7-6-1… So Kimmelitis has one all important question:

Which one of these premier NERFL team will win the 2008 New England Conference?

1)   Mors Hostibus
2)   West Hartford Trees
3)   Pop’s Puppies
4)   Anita’s Angels

Please rank all four teams in order and give us what you think there 2008 regular season record will be after the fourteen game regular season.
