At the end of the Four Questions, you will find this week’s LAST MAN STANDING selections!!! (So far Doug, Rich, Eric and Andy L. have paid up)

FOUR QUESTIONS:

1) There are six weeks left in the NERFL regular season; what areas of concern do you have with your team? Why?

Cardiac Kids – Consistency at the RB and TE slot. I have gone to a five wide formation, so the TE isn’t as big of a concern but I can’t expect to pitch a (1) at the RB slot every week and win. But hey, if we have an issue, we put a little Windex on it…. Hopa!

Pop’s Puppies – you mean besides the putrid effort my team puts up weekly/ sure they don’t score, can’t defend and the general manager [general geo s] should be fired and his assistant put in charge.

Carlos — Honestly.. Consistency is the only flaw we have right now… One week we can put some major points up, and POOF.. We lay a big Stinka. Other than that my team has no holes in it.. we might not be the Best on paper, But we can beat anyone in this league if were at our best, and firing on all cylinders..

2) Do you think your NERFL team has all of the necessary pieces to win a NERFL championship? Why?

Cardiac Kids – Yes, I do. Good QB, good WRs, good K, good Def, and a decent RB (not ideal) situation. Now having the right pieces to win and actually winning; those are two very different questions. But I think the Cardiac kids are in a good position to have a chance at winning the championship.

Pop’s Puppies – sure if the bye weeks go thru week 14 otherwise not a chance

Carlos – Definitely, I wouldn’t have drafted it or picked up the FREE-agents i have, If I thought my team was built to win a Championship. This question is RaDonkulus…

3) Who are the biggest “pretenders” in NERFL? Why?

Cardiac Kids – E & J, Dave’s team (you pick the name) and the Rookie. E & J and Dave, it was kind of expected because no one ever expected them to compete with the real teams in their conference…. the Rookie is still learning so we cut him some slack but next year, the gloves come off…

Pop’s Puppies – the dog bites/ duh

Carlos — Thats simple.. The E&J experience, The dragon Slayers, and My Best Buddy Dave… First> Eli> Because his team has the Talent, But he doesn’t know how to utilize effectively, week in and week out.

second > the Slayers> His team Is not built for the long haul, and he has more holes in it, and Heroin Addict has on her arm after a 48 hour Bender..

Lastly> My Buddy dave> I JUST DONT LIKE THE KID… I FEEL SORRY FOR ALL HIS PLAYERS.. THEIR OWNER IS A BIG CRY BABY, AND HE NEEDS TO JUST SUCK IT UP AND PLAY BALL.. CHANGE HIS DIAPER AND STICK THAT PACIFIER IN HIS MOUTH AND PUT HIM ON THE BENCH.. HE’S DONE…

4) Which NFL player (from a fantasy football perspective) gives you the biggest ulcer? Why?

Cardiac Kids – Slaton! Steve. Slaton. Or as we like to call him around the clubhouse, ”Sir Fumble!” It’s gotten so bad that we only feed the boy on paper plates and with paper cups! Cuts down on overhead costs that way! … “Hey trainer, will you spray some Windex on Slaton, Please?!… it will cure his fumbling problem!!!”

Pop’s Puppies – on my team, LT…. on every other team the rule that allows keepers like AD to stay with a team virtually forever

Carlos – That’s simple… Clinton Portis… The Guy reminds me of my arch enemy dave. they spend more time in the nurse’s room and the ER, Because they oops chipped a nail, oh my tummy hurts, oh my ingrown toe nail… Their always hurt either physically or emotionally.. Here’s my gift to them both.. A big Box of tissues and a warm bottle of milk.. Now go to Bed and leave me the heck alone.

LAST MAN STANDING

Cardiac Kids – DC Nukes

DC Nukes – Kenosha Maroons

Rookie Sensation – Cardiac Kids

Carlos – Well I’ve Been waiting for this week all season.. LOng… I Pick my team Carlos to win this week over Dave Whatchamcallit

Falls Church Players – I’ve got to go with my own team this week, FC Players, don’t let me down.

Which brings our Season Record to 25-23-0

And now… onto this week’s games!

Week 9:

Falls Church Players -vs- The Rookie Sensation

The computer had a quick note for this matchup, “FC Players, this game is not a given. The trade could chabnge this for the Rookie in i BIG way!” But then the computer went on to predict a Falls Church Players victory!

Falls Church Players win this week by a score of 117 to 96

————————————————————————————–

Dragon Slayers -vs- The Cardiac Kids

This game could be a statement game for the Slayers or a knock out punch for the Kids! The magic eight balls says to go with the TKO !!!

Cardiac Kids win this week by a score of 133 to 114

———————————————————————-

Kenosha Maroons -vs- Marty’s Schottenheimers

Since Pedro once played for the Maroons beloved Mets… rumor has it that the Schottenheimers management has hired a group of Schottsies fans to stand outside the Maroons admin office all day on Sunday chanting, “Who’s Your Daddy?!?!”

Marty’s Schottenheimers win this week by a score of 115 to 111

—————————————————————————————-

West Hartford Trees -vs- E & J Experience

The Experience has posted respectable scores over the course of the season, last week the bought a break and won one of those games. This week, though, it looks like another good old fashioned beat down for the Trees…

West Hartford Trees win this week by a score of 129 to 117

—————————————————————————————-

Carlos -vs- Jacksons 1 Yard Line

This very well could be the game of the season. We all know that there are bragging rights on the line as these teams go together as well as oil and water… Just a good old fashioned grudge match with taunting rights for the rest of the season as the biggest prize of all!!!!

Carlos wins this week by a score of 125 to 101

———————————————————————————–

Pop’s Puppies -vs- DC Nukes

It’s time for the Puppies to go back to obedience school as the Nukes are about to open up a whole big can of whoop arse on the Puppies this week…. this game will be over by kick-off! Nukes in a rout !!!!

DC Nukes win this week by a score of 147 to 112

—————————————————————————-

At the end of the Four Questions, you will find this week’s LAST MAN STANDING selections!!! (So far Doug, Rich and Andy have paid up)

FOUR QUESTIONS:

1) If you had to describe one or two owners by comparing them to a household cleaning product; what owner(s) would you compare to said household cleaning products? Why?

Cardiac Kids – It would be the E & J Experience and Liquid Drano. After riding a 9-5 record and a division title in the playoffs last season, his season has gone down the drain faster than Liquid Drano could clear a clog in the pipes…. New Team Name: “E & J Drano’s”

Pop’s Puppies – thats easy/ the owner of the protest queen macaroons is like amonia [makes your eyes tear and has an awful "smell"]

Carlos – Interesting Question.. So I’ll take some Windex for Doug, and I’ll take some Febreeze for Pops’s….. I’ll tackle Pop’s pick first.. Its simple.. Because Pop’s weekly banter is just like febreeze,Because It’s smooth and it leaves a pleasing aroma all over Nerfl on a weekly basis…. and…For Dougy, Sorry but no matter what he gets himself into on a weekly basis in Nerfl he reminds me of the Old man from ”My Big Fat Greek wedding”. No matter what he says or does “All I can think about is ” Put some Windex On It ” A great quote from that movie mentioned above. Because he says some of the craziest things, and always has a funny way to look at things in a view that i find rather amusing…

DC Nukes – Oh, this is a good one. I play this every night while falling a sleep. That’s why I have an answer for every team!!

Slayers - Pledge, their team is just lemony fresh
Experience – Cascade – no holes (spots) to be found in this line up
Sensation – Bleach (generic brand) – kills everything in sight for a low, low price
MENDONCA – Windex – no streaks except the one of him blowing by you
Maroons – Tsumekaeyou, the Japanese power-house cleaner. sure its 248 yen, but we know why!!
Puppies – Frebreze – it takes care of everything and wipes you off the field, no matter how much you stink
1 Yard Line - Lysol, because it is a powder or a liquid
Schottenheimers - Clorox – like bleach but more expensive and stings your eyes more
Players – Palmolive – strong, but graceful
Nukes - battery acid – what?? sometimes you need to get out stains and you just over kill

Cardiac Kids – Eric. I have not seen a comment, post, reply or answer to a question at kimmelitis that even comes close to his humor. Keep up the good work, Eric!

Pop’s Puppies – eli because he just doesn;t know how funny he is when talking trash

Carlos – The Funniest Member in Nerfl…. Let’s See, wait a minute… Sorry but I can’t just choose 1… It’s nerfl’s greatest Soap Opera… The Dougy and Pop’s Show,, I tune every week to see what’s going to be said between these two fierce competitors on a weekly basis.. Their Nerfl’s Odd Couple, But i find their Battles very amusing ..

DC Nukes – Is this like ha ha funny, or that clown just fell over and broke its nose funny?

3) Kimmelitis has caught some rumblings over the past few weeks for changes to or elimination of the PPR rule for 2010. What are your thoughts on PPR?

Cardiac Kids – I came out in opposition to PPR when it was pitched and have maintained that I am not a fan of PPR BUT with that said, this is a done issue in my book. Those who question PPR now are those who adamantly and ardently supported it when it was pitched. As my mom used to say, “You made your bed, now lie in it!” PPR had nine votes last time it was brought up, add the Cardiac Kids to the list of “keep it” votes because the time to talk about PPR is over. Adjust, plan, draft, move on…. keepers and team strategies for the last two years have been based around the rule; it’s time to leave it alone and move forward.

Pop’s Puppies – not elimination but a lesser point per catch to make the qb’s/ rb’s and wr’s more equal/ nothing wrong with points per catch/ just make the points for catches and points for yards more appropriate for the position so a mediocre wr doesn’t eclipse a quality rb

Carlos – We voted on IT, and IT passed.. So we keep it.. It makes the weekly match-ups alot closer than they would be and it makes Nerfl more competitive on a weekly basis.

Just draft smarter, and and do your research on what players gain the most from Famous PPR scoring aspect. Its not Brain Science.. This Fatman likes the PPR rule more than cake… So don’t send it away, or this Fatman might just have to eat YOU…..

DC Nukes – PPR? I am completely for photopolarimeter/radiometers. How else are we going to quantitatively measure the intensity and polarization of sunlight in the visible portion of the spectrum that is reflected from the Jovian satellites and Jupiter?? Just answer me that one. How?

4) With seven weeks of the NERFL season in the books; Which four owners do you predict will make the final four in the playoffs?

Cardiac Kids – The playoffs are a fickle mistress, one bad day for a player can sink a team. So predicting at the halfway mark is tough. The Cardiac Kids because we never bet against our team, especially when they have done as well as they have this year. That leaves three other teams; Carlos, DC Nukes, Marty’s Schottenheimers.

Pop’s Puppies – trees, nukes, shottzies are my long shot, puppies [what you expected i would pick my own team]

Carlos – The owners who will make the Final Four in the Playoffs are…… Wait a Minute.. Who ever wants it more Obviously… But if your making me pick…. I’ll have to take The Trees, The Slayers, The Cardaic Kids, and Obviously The Carlos. You be crazy thinking that I leave my name out of this race.. I’m going to be in it until someone knocks me out..

DC Nukes – Ah, it is still early, but I would say North Carolina, Connecticut, Pittsburgh, and Memphis…. Oh, you meant NERFL? well, I think Kids and Trees are going to fight it out with the rest getting ready for the Final Four.?

LAST MAN STANDING

Cardiac Kids – Cardiac Kids

DC Nukes – Cardiac Kids

Marty’s Schottenheimers – Carlos.

Rookie Sensation – Going with the Trees this week.

Carlos – West Hartford Trees

Falls Church Players – I vote for the Cardiac Kids. Brother don’t let me down !!!

Last week our Record was 4-2-0

Which brings our Season Record to 21-21-0

And now… onto this week’s games!

Week 8:

Falls Church Players -vs- Dragon Slayers

This is a battle of BYE week teams. This game comes down to which team has more depth on thier bench and although both teams will battle very hard this week, only one team can win…. and that team is:

Falls Church Players win this week by a score of 99 to 96

————————————————————————————–

The Rookie Sensation -vs- The Cardiac Kids

Every week the Cardiac Kids lock horns with a team that battle’s them late into the weekend. This week the computer predicts a little easier go of the weekend but with that said the computer also kicked out a note, “watch the injuries to wayne and Jackson, if they can’t go… this could be a week the Rookie Sensation throws out a BIG upset!

Cardiac Kids win this week by a score of 122 to 88

———————————————————————-

Kenosha Maroons -vs- DC Nukes

The Maroons have been playing very well lately. This week is just one of those week’s where your throw your roster on the field and pray that the logic of “Any Given Sunday” falls on their team. The Nukes on the other hand have been emptying the arsenal on everyone lately!

DC Nukes win this week by a score of 114 to 95

—————————————————————————————-

West Hartford Trees -vs- Jacksons 1 Yard Line

Jackson’s one yard line is going to end up a few yard lines short…

West Hartford Trees win this week by a score of 109 to 99

—————————————————————————————-

Carlos -vs- E & J Experience

Carlos is on a mission. This week the mission is to eliminate the Experience. Maybe this week when someone says, “Mission Accomplished” it will actually mean something!

Carlos wins this week by a score of 125 to 108

———————————————————————————–

Pop’s Puppies -vs- Marty’s Schottenheimers

This is a battle of Father and Son. The Son has bested the Father so many times in the past, can he do it again?! The Magic Eight Ball says, “No!”

Pop’s Puppies win this week by a score of 116 to 102

—————————————————————————-
